Prestige Investments
A Legal Office

Lift Lobby The entrance door to a legal office was designed to blend with the existing lift lobby of a prestigious building. The doors are clad with colored plastic laminate and accentuated with stainless steel name plate and door handles. Bronze mirror, trimmed with lacquered moldings, frames the door and glass panels.

Reception Room The Chinese rug, in auspicious shades of red and green, not only brightens the reception area but also protects the light celadon fitted carpet from traffic. The glass wall of the conference room is curtained but drawn open when not in use visually enlarging the reception area.

The room of a managing partner looks like a residential setting. Chinese embroidered throw pillows accentuate the sofa. On the wall is an antique Japanese screen. A Sang de Boeuf or ox blood glazed Chinese porcelain vase, shaped like a gourd on a pedestal, matches the color of the Oriental rug. The contemporary chairs, in stainless steel and leather, are light and stylish.

The working desk faces a wall to accommodate the antique wooden table shipped from the United States. A panoramic picture hangs above the desk like a window. The blue and beige Chinese style rug under the table underscores the eclectic ambiance.

All the office furniture are custom designed and built to match the interior design details. Left: The secretarial pool has peach colored swivel chairs to compliment the predominant celadon-gray colors. Right: The paralegal offices have full length glass partitions for visual interaction.

FROM THE READERS
"I am in web development and should admit that it is a great pleasure to come across such an orignal design solution.
It certainly makes the authors' vision of art very clear - and that's its major winning point."
Andrew Lloyd, Canada; jan. "2007
