Shallow nich has glass shelves filled with Chinese ceramics. The 13th c. Thai stone seated Buddha perches on top of the window sill overlooking a garden. Below, resting on the floor, is a contemporary stoneware jar from Japan which I now use as container for a floral arrangement. Beyond is a marble topped desk to chat with guests.
