To round off the corner of a stair landing, I made a slim vertical composition, not to compete with the Chinese painting but rather to harmonize with it. The shaft of glass rising out of the emerald green ceramic vase is posed on top of a verde gris finished pedestal. Sprouting out of the glass vase are dried gold-sprayed heliconias. The traditional silk garland from Thailand wraps around the mouth of the ceramic container breaking the rigid lines and contrasting to the modernity of the overall arrangement.

I created a pair of dried wall arrangements on the side walls of an alcove to harmonize with the Chinese painting hanging above the club chairs. I sandwiched the dried ferns, bamboo leaves and other dried materials between two glass panels. The durian-like objects in a dish on top of the glass side table are woven pandan leaves from Thailand. It is one of their unique and interesting handicraft.
