Mix Arrangements

I filled the dead corner of a living room with floral arrangements that sets the scale of the elements in the room. In a tall ceramic emerald green jar, I arranged a wide variety of dried elements highlighted with bright silk blooms. Below, in a large celadon dish, I made use of the red fan corals I bought in Thailand many years ago. In this arrangement, I tried to mimic a marine garden. Integral to the whole composition is the other fan coral inside an acrylic box which serves as the background and base of the dish arrangement. Below, the top of the arrangement.

A tall arrangment harmonizes with Thai upholstery used in the bolsters of the bed. Various dry and silk materials are highlighted by gold-sprayed dried flowers to echo the gold embroidery of the upholstery. The dark claret dried eucaluptus leaves sets the color tone of the arrangement.
