One of my favorite object in my home is the antique Japanese wooden lotus given to me by a friend many years ago. In fact, this object became my inspiration for the logo of Fleur East Collection above. Here, I mixed it with self-made papier mache lotus leaves which I gold leafed in Hong Kong. The bleached Botswana desert root gives the arrangement movement and stability; while the raindeer moss coupled with dried mushrooms reinforce the natural feel. I used a large Japanese jar with dripping green glaze to highlight the textures of the composition.
