There is a category of handwrapped silk flowers which I call "fantasy flowers" because they are corrupted interpretation of real flowers or some pure invention. Nonetheless, I like to use them occassionally to break the norm. For a corner of a built-in low cabinet with dresser, I used "fantasy" flowers which are color coordinated with the interiors. Shades of blue, white, gray and a touch of dark mauve find equilibrum in this fanciful yet sophisticated arrangement.

The hospitality designers Hirsch Bedner & Ass. asked me to fill up their chosen ceramic container to serve as the focal point to a lobby of a boutique hotel in Hong Kong. As briefed, I used traditional flowers in white and pale colors to quitely highlight the interior color scheme. Varieties of lilies, anthurium, and allium make up for the bulk of this massive yet light arrangement. To control cost, one should avoid using containers with wide brim because they take more materials as in this case.
