In this girl's room, I did not want to spoil the beautifully tailored padded walls with silk cording by hanging some artwork. Instead, I created a pair of floral arrangements which I mounted on acyrilic stands to serve as the head feature of the bed. I used white tool embelished with small buds and white spaghetti styrofoam to fill the container for a modern and youthful appeal. On clear acrylic stands, they look dramatic with small halogen uplighters.

A spray of light lilac, purple and white silk flowers in a mother-of-pearl inlaid lacquer vase looks very light and airy despite its height and density. The textures and shades of purples of the more than two dozen varieties of silk flowers makes it look rich yet subtle. It enhances the large antique Chinese painting on the wall.
