A vignette of Thai antiques in a niche is accentuated by an assortment of yellow and light orange silk flowers in an off-white glazed ceramic vase.
The monochromatic colors of the arrangement is compensated by the different textures. I work with large, medium and small flowers to make the arrangement
more interesting.
The thepanoms gold-leaved on the manuscript box called heep phra ted in Thai is reiterated by a pair of wooden kneeling thepanoms and the stone thepanom head. Peering from behind the flowers is a small Thai painting that is positioned to show the meditating Buddha seemingly floating.

The colors of the Thai painting is the take-off point for this silk arrangement. Different varieties of yellow roses and other small flowers were massed to asymetricaly flow out of the yellow glazed jar. Since the position for this arrangement is low, the top view is important.
