For a hotel in Hong Kong, I created this large traditional arrangement for the reception counter. The multi-color scheme is decidedly warm as a welcome gesture to guests. Most hotels have budgets for floral arrangements. Handwrapped silk flowers when used profusely and with abandon can be rather expensive. The point is to make the arrangement look fuller with less materials.

Flower arrangements can be symbolic. For this bi-chromatic arrangement made for a boardroom, corporate colors are recalled. Since the company is rooted in tradition yet dynamic in the present, I used traditional flowers in bold shades of red and white. To modulate the colors, I used green leaves for fillers.
