Issued Dec. 1994 to mark the first anniversary of the 'Tien Tan Buddha' located on Lan Tau Island. The HK$50 card depicts the 34-meter high bronze Buddha which is one of the largest outdoor Buddhas in the world. The Buddha's raised right hand symbolises the taking away of suffering and the left hand that of bestowing happiness. with the right hand raised in blessing. Chinese junk in rainbow colors that symbolises prosperity. The New HK Landmark Pack issued earlier and recalled because of the misprint in the Buddha's picture is now corrected with this re-issue. 10,000 packs.
